Jr Flames Spring Program - 3 and 4 Year Old's
The Jr Flames Learn To Play Program is designed for kids aged 3 and 4. This program provides an outlet for beginner players to gain insight into the game of hockey. BVHS coaches will teach these young players the FUNdamentals of the game through station-based activities and small-area games. During each ice session our instructors will focus on a variety of skill sets including forward and backward skating, basic balance, skating, turning, puck control, passing and shooting.
We encourage a parent to come on ice to assist with their child.
Skating Ability
Players need to be able to get up and down on their own without assistance and they should be able to shuffle across the ice without assistance prior to registering for this program. Participants should have some experience skating before taking part in this program.
We do not recommend signing up for this program if your son or daughter has never skated before.
Program Features and Coaches
Our program will be led by Trevor Morgan along with paid coaches. We also welcome parent volunteer coaches who would like to come on the ice to assist their child being that this program is usually their first hockey experience.
