Coach Certifications

Please read the Coaching Requirements Information document.

All Head Coaches are required to have:

A valid certification in The Shift Forward Coach/Team Official https://page.spordle.com/ha/clinics/1f138e58-fda2-6ca8-897b-06b18f5f402f *** we will accept a valid Respect in Sport - Activity Leader***
A valid Hockey Canada Safety Program - Level 1 https://page.spordle.com/ha/clinics/1f057848-c6e8-6cdc-8758-02347ea6fef5
Hockey Canada Coach 1 (online course) https://page.spordle.com/ha/clinics/1f0577c8-8c59-6d94-968c-02347ea6fef5
Hockey Alberta - Coach 1 - Intro to Hockey Clinic (in person)
A valid Vulnerable Sector Check (fill out the Wufoo form where you will be emailed a link to fill out the police check)

***Please note that the head coach and another coach on each U7 & U9 team will need to have Coach 1

All Assistant Coaches are required to have:

***U13 AA Head Coach MUST have Development1 both online and one ice

The deadline for all Coaching Certifications to be completed is November 15 of the current season.

The Shift Forward Coach/Team Official is required of all bench staff. This is not the same certification as the Parent program.

Certifications are valid for 3 seasons.
