BVHS U18 Honorariums Powered By Adrenalin Source for Sports
Through our valued partnership with Adrenalin Source for Sports, the Bow Valley Hockey Society is fortunate to have the ability to provide 5 - $500 honorariums to graduating players at our annual U18 Graduation Banquet. The qualifications for each honorarium are outlined below. Anyone wishing to apply for one of our 2026 Honorariums should complete the honorarium submission form and include the required information by February 15, 2026. The recipients will be presented with their honorarium at the U18 Graduation Banquet.
Academic Honorarium
The academic honorarium is given to a BV player that has exemplified excellence in school, while volunteering in the community and being a good teammate throughout the 2025-2026 Season.
Criteria: Based on grades, leadership within team, and community involvement.
Supporting Documents Needed:
Reference Letter from BV Coach, High School Transcript for 2025-2026, and letter of reference supporting their involvement in the community as a volunteer.
Trades Honorarium
The trades honorarium is given to a BV player who has exemplified excellence in a trades-based program during the 2025-2026 School Year, while volunteering in the community and being a good teammate throughout the 2025-2026 Season.
Criteria: Based on participation in trades courses, leadership within team, and community involvement.
Supporting Documents Needed:
Reference Letter from BV Coach, High School Transcript for 2025-2026 showing enrolment in trades-based courses, and letter of reference supporting their involvement in the community as a volunteer.
Officials Honorarium
The Officials Recognition honorarium is given to an Official who exemplified professionalism throughout the games that they officiated during the 2025-2026 Season. This individual has a passion for continuing to pursue officiating. They have demonstrated this by working to increase their officiating skill sets through participation in courses and clinics. This official works to provide mentorship to younger officials.
Criteria: Based number of officials participation in courses and clinics, number of games officiated and reference from Central Region Mentor, Board Member and/or Assignor.
Supporting Documents Needed:
Reference Letter from BV Coach, and letter of reference from a Central Region Mentor, Board Member and/or Assignor.
Community Service Honorarium
The Community Service Honorarium is presented to an individual who exemplifies a passion for community development through volunteering within the community. This individual has strong community values and understands the importance of giving back to the community.
Criteria: Based on the number of hours volunteered within the Community.
Supporting Documents Needed:
Reference Letter from BV Coach, and letter of reference from the organization that the applicant volunteered at for the 2025-2026 Season including the number of hours volunteered.
Leadership Honorarium
Leadership Honorarium
The Leadership Honorarium is presented to an individual who exemplifies leadership through a leadership role. This can include but not limited to the following: Captain or Assistant as a member of a sports team and/or a team lead in a volunteer role within the community. This individual has strong leadership skills and understands and exemplifies strong leadership characteristics.
Criteria: Based on the leadership role and supporting references attesting to the leadership attributes the applicant exemplifies.
Supporting Documents Needed:
Reference Letter from BV Coach, and letter of reference from the team/organization in which this individual was a in a leadership role.
