BVHS follows the Guidelines outlined by Hockey Calgary for House Hockey within Hockey Calgary.
Hockey Equipment

If you are new to hockey, please click here to learn how to put the equipment on.
Hockey Sticks should be cut off between the player's chin and nose while on skates. Tape should be put on both the butt end and the blade of the stick.
Skates should be sharpened prior to the first ice time. Skates out of the box are not sharp, they need to be sharpened.

Skills Testing Information
The U9 and U11 House League Age Groups will do the following drills for skills testing:
Transition Skate without Puck
75 Foot Skate Forwards without Puck
75 Foot Skate Backwards without Puck
Agility Weave without Puck
Schedule
Please note the schedules may change prior to and or during evaluations.
House League Groupings
Parents will receive an email prior to Sept 10, 2023 outlining their child's Group for the Pathways Sessions.
Parents will receive an email prior to Sept 23, 2023 outlining their child's group for the Skills Session # 1.
Final Placements and Coach Selections
The teams will be finalized on Oct 2, 2023.
Coaches will be selected and contacted on or before Sept 28, 2023.
Players will be contacted by their respective Head Coaches by Oct 2, 2023.
Practices will start the week of Oct 16, 2023.
