Evaluations Player Placement Surveys
First off, thanks for taking on the role as a Head or Assistant Coach for another Season. We appreciate the time and efforts that each of you put in, as well as the time that you put in during evaluations. This past year was the best turn out that we have ever had for Evaluators. With that being said, its time to evaluate how we did in regards to placing our kids on their respective teams and your feedback is crucial in evaluating the process. Every Coach is encouraged to complete the BVHS Evaluations Player Placement Survey. We understand we can always move the bubble kids up or down a spot, but your feedback is greatly appreciated.
We evaluate on where the player is today, and not where we think they will be at the end of the season.
We would appreciate if each of you could take 5 minutes to go in and rank your respective players. Please complete this survey by October 15, 2019. We will circulate the results of these surveys before the end of the month.
On the surveys, please note the following:
Rank Appropriately- Process Got it Right- This player is in the right division (team) for their skill set.
Misplaced Ranked to Low- Should Be Up A Division- This player is one of the strongest players on your team, and dominates in all games and practices. Their skill set is much higher than their peer group on your respective team. This player’s skill set is much more advanced then their peer group and the evaluations process definitely misplaced this player.
Misplaced Ranked to High- Should Be Down A Division- This player is weaker and should not be playing on your team. They do not have the skill sets to keep up with their peer group on your respective team. They struggle keeping up in all practices and games. This player would be a middle of the pack player in the Division below. (Bubble kids are interchangeable).
- (nc) indicates Non Checking. If they are playing the highest level of non checking but you feel they have the ability to play higher, we only complete the form based on what they signed up to play. Ex. The Top Non Checking Forward for Division # 4 would be ranked appropriately because they maxed out based upon the Division they signed up to play. Anyone without the * in front of their name could have moved up a division.
